Fine Art Product Descriptions

All images are for sale as museum quality fine art pieces using the highest quality printing materials including TruLife Acrylic, Chromaluxe Metal, DiBond Brushed Metal and Canvas.   The acrylic blocks have also gone thru the same scrutiny. 

I spent over a year researching printing options and methods while using different vendors and mediums until I found the absolute highest quality.   While there are many options out there, not all of them meet the high quality expectation that I have for my pieces.   Not all printing materials are created equal - and I believe that I have located the best of the best.   

All art pieces are digitally signed.

Below, I have tried to answer many of the questions I receive,  Each person,  experience and style is unique - and the ART should match your style!

PRINT:  A signed art is printed on archival quality photo paper and attached to Sintra board to keep it from warping.    If you prefer to not have it attached to a board, just let me know.

PRINT WITH MAT:  This signed art is printed on archival quality photo paper and attached to a mat which makes it suitable for framing the art.

PRINT WITH MAT AND FRAME:  This signed art is printed on archive quality  paper and attached to a mat.   The mat is then placed into a frame.   Depending on the art, it will be either a Black Frame, White Frame or Barnwood Frame.   The picture on the description will show what the default frame is.  

TruLife ACRYLIC PRINT: This signed art is printed on archive quality photo paper (varies between FujiFlex Crystal, Image Tech Photo Gloss, Austin Jet Silver Paper) and then attached to the back of a crystal clear 1/8 inch TruLife non-reflective acrylic - giving the print a richer, deeper-than-glass effect.   It will come with a museum mount, allowing the art to hang directly on the wall and appear that it is floating.   This is a very modern and contemporary way to display the art.  

  • Note that 1/4" TruLife acrylic is also available at a custom quote.   
  • If you are planning on framing the art and not wanting a museum mount, I can do a custom quote for you. 
  • Due to their size and the "flexibility" of acrylic, large pieces will have a DiBond or Sintra backing on them.   
  • This is museum quality and archival safe for 100+ years.
  • Eliminates about 60% of the reflection, which allows the art to be more vivid while viewed without the reflection.
  • Scratch resistant and cleans like glass - without any special acrylic cleaners.  Just wipe with any non-amonia/non-alcohol cleaner (Windex).

ACRYLIC PRINT:   This signed art is printed on archive quality photo paper (varies between Image Tech Photo Gloss or Austin Jet Silver Paper and then attached to the back of a clear 1/8 inch acrylic.   It will come with a museum mount, allowing the art to hang directly on the wall and appear that it is floating.   This is a very modern and contemporary way to display the art. 
(Please note that the difference in this and the TruLife is the clarity of the plexiglass.   TruLife is non-glare, non-reflective and adds a clearer, richer level to the piece of art.    Only a few pieces are offered without TruLife Acrylic - as this is not my preferred printing medium due to the possible glare and reflection on the art.)

DIBOND BRUSHED METAL PRINT:  Brushed aluminum prints that add amazing depth to your fine art.  The print takes on a different texture and for areas that are true white - reveals the brushed metal surface.    The photo is directly printed onto the brushed metal surface with the UV printing technology.  The art will take on almost a 3D effect.   This art will come with a museum mount, allowing the art to hang directly on the wall and appear that it is floating.   

METAL PRINT:  This signed art is printed on a HIGH GLOSS METAL.   It comes museum mounted and ready to hang on the wall.    Please note that the metal print does have sharp corners.  This medium is for the smaller prints.  Large pieces of art are printed using the Chromaluxe (below).

CHROMALUXE DYE-SUB METAL PRINT:  This signed art creates a visual impact!   With exceptional clarity, color vibrancy and detail showcased on white HIGH GLOSS METAL.  ChromaLuxe is longer-lasting, scratch-resistant and abrasion resistant.   It has a stronger resistance to fading and yellowing.  It comes museum mounted and ready to hang on the wall.   

  • If you are planning on framing the art and not wanting a museum mount, I can do a custom quote for you. 
  • The metal print does have sharp corners.  If you will be displaying it without a frame in a high traffic area, you may want to consider rounded corners.   This can be done at no extra charge.   Please reach out to me to request a custom quote. 
  • If you prefer a Matte finish versus a Glossy finish, please request a custom quote.
  • It is reflective.
  • It is not archival quality and the life of the print is about 40-50 years.
  • Large pieces of art are usually cheaper when printed on metal.

The ChromaLuxe dye-sub process is quite interesting:   All ChromaLuxe aluminum photo panels are coated with a custom formulated multi-layer polymer finish which provides a durable scratch and fade resistant foundation.   The print is printed on sublimation paper, and then transferred to the metal thru a sublimation/heat process.   This process is what creates the exceptional depth and color.    ChromaLuxe Metal Prints can be cleaned with any all-purpose cleaner and wiped with a cloth.  Easy cleaning allows for your museum-quality artwork to retain its shine, hassle-free.

CANVAS PRINT: This signed art is printed on semi-gloss canvas.   The finish provides a sheen for a clean crisp piece of art.   Premium archival-rated canvas.  Wrapped on a 1 1/2 inch edge depth wooden frame. The canvas is wrapped using a technique features a raised bevel so the canvas floats and doesn't rest on the frame itself.  (Similar to skin on a drum.)

  • Other canvas depths are available (9/16" and 2").  Please reach out for a custom quote.

PERFORMANCE EXT METAL: This signed art piece is created using Performance Ext Metal that is specially engineered for extended life in the elements! Perfect for use as outdoor art, Performance EXT Metal will last 2-3 years in direct sunlight without noticeable fading. Available with your choice of a High Gloss or Sheer Glossy surface.  (Artist selects high gloss unless otherwise noted or requested).

  • Not listed for all pieces of art, however I can do a custom quote for you.

ACRYLIC BLOCK:  This signed art is a smaller art piece that you can display on a shelf, mantle, desk or any other flat surface.   They are definite attention grabbers, for such a small piece of art.  A touch of modern art in a small impressive package.   The acrylic blocks feature the photo face-mounted to 1 inch thick plexiglass with hand polished crystal-clear edges.    NOTE:  These DO NOT have any hanging mechanism.    

TILES & COASTERS:  Selected signed art is printed on coasters and tiles. The tiles are available in several sizes.  They are bright and printed directly on a high gloss tile.  

The coasters are 4x4 inch - whether ceramic or hardcore are selected.   The hardcore is bright/glossy, and the ceramic is matte.   

TILES are also glossy coasters.  If you do plan on using them for a coaster, please mention that in your order - so the backing gets added on.    They are made from white ceramic tiles like you find at home improvement stores, then sublimate them with the ART image.  

Please note that although they are printed on tile and ceramic - it is still art and needs to be treated carefully.   See the below helpful information for keeping your tiles and coasters looking amazing for years to come.

  • Ceramic Tiles may be used outdoors, but should be kept out of direct sunlight to avoid fading.
  • Ceramic Tiles may be used in a wet environment, but the tile should be kept clean to avoid water stains.
  • Gloss Finish is susceptible to swirl marks in certain lighting conditions if not cleaned or installed properly. Avoid using abrasive cloths.
  • Matte Finish is more durable and less susceptible to these marks.
  • The image on the Ceramic Photo Tiles is permanent, but can be scratched with sharp objects such as knives, scissors, and screwdrivers.

 

Shipping to the continental US is included in the price of the art, unless otherwise stated.

All of the art is ordered specifically for you!  Once payment is received there is about a 3 week turn-around on the items.  The process to put the art on acrylic is quite elaborate and time consuming - but well worth the wait!  Because this is a special order, the items are not refundable.    Any items damaged in shipping will be replaced.
