Artist Statement

“Art has the ability to make a house… a home.”

My love for nature runs deep—but what draws me in isn’t always the obvious focal point. I’m often captivated by the subtle anomaly—a break in pattern, a shift in light, a color that doesn’t quite follow the rules. That small disruption is usually where the harmony lives.

For many years, my camera documented family vacations and everyday moments with my children. But when dementia touched my family, I witnessed how powerful a single image could be. A photograph could spark recognition, stir emotion, and reconnect someone to a part of their story that felt lost.

That’s when photography shifted from hobby to purpose.

I’ve seen firsthand how art can transport someone—back to a childhood adventure, a dream destination, or a forgotten feeling. Whether it’s the urge to climb a mountain, step into turquoise water, or trace the texture of stones along a shoreline, I want my art to invite you to pause. To lean in. To look closer. And then to step back and feel the harmony of it all.

My collections are deeply personal.
Chilled Wine was born during a season when I craved meaning and needed to hold onto life’s fleeting moments.
Finding the Colors of Life rose from the darkness of 2020, when color symbolized hope—vibrant hues of healing, peace, and reconnection.

Through intuition and composition, I isolate those small shifts in light, texture, and rhythm—turning real places into layered, expressive works of fine art. Even when memories fade, the art remains—lasting long beyond me.

Many of my pieces are printed on archival paper and museum-mounted under TruLife® non-glare acrylic. This medium offers luminous clarity—like looking through a window into a moment that once caught my eye. The floating, borderless presentation allows the image to breathe, uninterrupted.

From the vast wilderness of Alaska and Wyoming to the sun-drenched shores of St. Lucia, the vineyards of Napa, and my home in Northwest Arkansas—my art reflects not just where I’ve been, but how I’ve seen.

Through rich color, thoughtful composition, and museum-quality craftsmanship, my hope is that my work brings you more than decor. I hope it brings you presence.

A reason to pause.
To reflect.
To remember.
To smile.
