Biography

Lisa Blount, Photographer

Lisa has loved photography her whole life, however, it wasn't until her parents were getting older and her dad developed vascular dementia, that she realized her pictures could be a gateway to happy memories, feelings, and emotions.

Lisa is a self-taught photographer that captures experiences and turns them into art.  (You can read the full story here).   Retired, with over 30 years in Information Technology, Lisa is able to create immersive art by using contemporary mediums that provide a window into her world.

The artwork is a journey into some of her favorite memories and stories experienced while traveling.  Art ranging from the quaint vineyards of Napa to the larger-than-life landscapes of Alaska; the wilderness of Wyoming to the tropical breezes on the island of St Lucia.  While Lisa loves to travel, she also enjoys capturing the natural beauty around her home town in Northwest Arkansas.

Lisa's piece, Standing Alone, was voted a top 3 fan favorite (out of over 2500 submissions) in the Crystal Bridges Museum #ChannelYourInnerAnsel Adams contest in 2020/2021.

As Lisa embraces the rich bold colors of nature in her art, she hopes you will pause, reflect, remember… and smile!
